ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, CHRIS INGLE

Chris Ingle, a native of Conyers, Georgia, holds a B.S. in History from Georgia College & State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Valdosta State University. Before beginning his career in education, he owned and operated Ingle Courier Service, Inc. for 14 years and was an active community leader—serving as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and several nonprofit boards. He was named Rockdale County’s Small Business Person of the Year in 2001. Now in his twelfth year at Lake Oconee Academy, Ingle serves as Director of Athletics and Activities and has coached varsity volleyball, girls golf, and girls soccer, all of which have made regular appearances in the GHSA State Playoffs. Under his leadership, LOA has earned 20 GHSA State Championships, 12 State Runner-Up finishes, and 44 Region/Area titles. Since taking over as head coach of the girls golf team in 2023, he has led them to three consecutive state championships. Ingle was named Region and State Athletic Director of the Year in 2023 and Middle School Athletic Director of the Year in 2024. He currently serves as Vice President of GHSA Region 8A-Public and as the region/area coordinator for golf. A key figure in LOA’s transition to GHSA varsity competition, he has guided the middle school program to over 30 championships. In 2025, LOA earned the GADA Directors Cup for best overall, male, and female athletic programs—marking the school’s third consecutive sweep. Ingle lives in Greensboro with his wife, Kelly, and their daughters, Sarah Grace and Amelia.
