Head Coach Josiah Rechenbach
Coach Rechenbach is thrilled to join LOA after several years of coaching throughout the southeast. He brings with him a total of 12 seasons of coaching experience and was the founder/co-founder of three successful travel basketball programs: the Atlanta Raptors, Mississippi Kings, and Tennessee Wizards. Most recently, he coached at Northbrook Middle School in Suwanee, Georgia.
Rechenbach was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he attended Fulton High School, playing for the highly accomplished Coach Jody Wright. He played collegiately for Coach Kevin Hall at Johnson.University (Tennessee), where he obtained a degree in Middle School History Education.
Coach Rechenbach has an energized passion for the game, player development, and sound fundamental teaching. He has coached multiple players who went on to play a sport collegiately at all levels.
Rechenbach has been married to his wife Aria for eight years, who currently works at the University of Georgia.
Assistant Coach Thomas Davis
Thomas Davis was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and played college basketball at Johnson University. He graduated in 2017, double majoring in bible/theology and communications, with a concentration in journalism.
Since high school, he has worked at various non-profit after-school programs serving all ages from elementary to high school. He has coached basketball for 6 years at the AAU and Recreational Level. His roles at LOA include Assistant Dean of Students, Assistant Athletic Director, Head Middle Boys’ Basketball Coach, and Assistant Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach.
He now lives locally with his wife Elicia and daughter Eliana. Elicia graduated from University of Tennessee and now works as an HR manager at a local Greensboro company.
